Daniel O. Carroll regularly represents hospitals and hospital systems with respect to their corporate and transactional needs. He also represents closely held and family businesses with respect to general corporate and transactional matters. Dan serves as co-chair of Schenck Price's Business Organizations Department as well as the firm’s Health Care Law Practice Group and Pharmaceutical Industry and Pharmacy Practice Group.
As a focal point of his practice, Dan represents and works with a variety of health care providers, including some of New Jersey’s largest hospitals and health systems, with respect to their corporate, transactional and regulatory needs. He has significant experience counseling clients with respect to matters involving commercial transactions, clinical research, corporate governance, strategic affiliations, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, fraud and abuse and other regulatory compliance issues. Accordingly, Dan is well-versed in drafting and negotiating transactional documents and various health care related agreements involving professional services, clinical research, technology and software licensing, equipment leasing and other operational matters. Beyond the health care industry, Dan counsels closely held and family owned businesses with respect to their various corporate needs, such as corporate structure, entity formation, corporate governance, acquisitions, divestitures, financings, capital needs and other commercial agreements and transactions.
Dan's professional affiliations include membership in the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Business Law Section and Health Law Section, the American Health Law Association and the New York State Bar Association. In addition, he is a graduate of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Morris Class of 2011 and has participated in and presented at events for the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship, Fairleigh Dickinson University (Madison, NJ) and the Inn of Transactional Counsel (Morris and Essex Counties).
