Litigation Legal Assistant
Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP is seeking highly organized and proactive person with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to support attorneys in our Litigation Department in its Florham Park Office.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys handling civil litigation matters
• Draft, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery documents, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Electronically file documents in state and federal courts and ensure compliance with court rules and filing deadlines
• Maintain attorney calendars, docket deadlines, and manage court appearances and internal schedules
• Assist with discovery management, including organizing, indexing, and tracking discovery materials
• Prepare deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial materials, including exhibits and binders
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors
• Open, maintain, and close client files in accordance with firm procedures
• Track service of process and coordinate with process servers
• Assist with billing entries, timekeeping, and expense tracking as required
• Perform general administrative duties, including correspondence, file management, and document organization
• Support attorneys with other litigation-related tasks as assigned
The successful candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines. The candidate must maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. The candidate must be able to work independently and as an integral member of the practice group.
Job related experience is required; paralegal certificate a plus. Knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules and experience handling confidential information is required.

Banking and Real Estate Paralegal
Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented person with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience to support attorneys in our Banking and Real Estate Department in its Florham Park Office.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist attorneys with commercial and residential real estate transactions from inception through closing
• Prepare, draft, and review transactional documents, including contracts, leases, loan documents, closing statements, and ancillary agreements
• Coordinate and manage real estate and loan closings, including preparation of closing checklists and closing documents
• Order, review, and track title searches, surveys, estoppels, zoning letters, and municipal lien searches
• Review title commitments and assist with resolving title survey issues
• Interface with lenders, borrowers, title companies, surveyors, municipalities, and opposing counsel
• Maintain and organize transaction files and closing documentation
• Assist with post-closing tasks, including recording documents and finalizing closing binders
• Conduct due diligence review and summarize findings for attorneys
• Track critical dates, deliverables, and conditions precedent to closing
• Perform legal research related to real estate and banking matters as requested
• Assist with billing entries, timekeeping, and expense tracking as required

• Coordinate medical authorizations, expert records, and expert witness materials

• Maintain attorney calendars, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and filing requirements
• File documents electronically in state and federal courts (e-filing systems)

Seeking a Calendar Coordinator to support its Litigation Practice group in its Florham Park office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Entry and maintenance of litigation calendar items
• Docketing of deposition dates, mediation dates, arbitration dates, trial dates, etc.
• Docketing of discovery deadlines, due dates, etc.
• Telephone calls and follow-ups
• Creation and maintenance of tickler system
Skills:
• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
