Executive Order Extends Deadline for 2019 Corporate Business Tax Calendar Year Return Filing

On October 15, 2020, Governor Murphy signed Executive Order No. 189, extending the filing deadline for 2019 Corporate Business Tax (CBT) calendar year returns being filed under extension to November 16, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Pursuant to the Order, the Director of the Division of Taxation shall not impose any penalties for failure to file a CBT report for the applicable tax year after October 15, 2020 but on or before November 16, 2020.
