Catherine O’Hern is a Litigation Associate in the Firm’s Professional Liability and Health Care Practice Groups. Catherine’s practice focuses on civil litigation and Appellate practice in the areas of medical malpractice and insurance defense, third-party liability, with a variety of Appellate matters throughout the firm’s practice areas. Catherine practices in New Jersey, New York, the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Catherine was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., and was a volunteer mediator with the NJ Attorney General Division of Consumer Affairs, ADR, and the Morris County Superior Court. Before joining Schenck Price, Catherine worked in a New York City law firm practicing professional malpractice, third-party liability defense, and coverage matters.
Prior to law school, Catherine designed and supervised the installation of proprietary software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. In 2024, Catherine was named a Woman of Achievement Honoree by the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey and is a GSNNJ Board Member.
