Katrina M. Xyloportas is an Associate in Schenck Price’s Family Law Practice Group. Katrina has extensive experience in all facets of divorce and family law. Katrina’s experience has given her vast knowledge and understanding of family law before, during, and after divorce.
Katrina brings nearly a decade of dedicated family law experience to the firm, advocating for clients across New Jersey in all aspects of matrimonial and domestic relations law. Her practice encompasses the full spectrum of the divorce process, including asset division, alimony, child support and custody disputes. Because no two cases are the same, Katrina approaches each matter with a fresh perspective, crafting strategies that fit the specific realities of each client’s life.
Skilled in navigating the nuances of the family court system, Katrina also regularly represents clients in non-dissolution (FD) matters and domestic violence proceedings, providing strategic, steadfast guidance when it is needed most.
Prior to joining the firm, Katrina was a Partner at a Somerset County firm. Katrina had a judicial clerkship for two judges – the Honorable John G. Hudak, J.S.C. and the Honorable James Hely, J.S.C. During law school, Katrina was involved in the James S. Hunter Moot Court Competition, as well as arguing before the United States Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito in Rutgers’ first-annual Leonard Garth Moot Court Competition, which she was the winner. Katrina was also elected as President of the Student Bar Association and named Best Orator by Justice Alito.
During her summer breaks at law school, Katrina interned as a law clerk in the Hudson County family court and was a Law & Justic Institute Coordinator for Legal Outreach Inc., a non-profit organization providing legal education and college prep to urban youth across the boroughs of New York City.
