On February 5, Shirley Berger Whitenack, Partner and Co-Chair of the Elder and Special Needs Law Practice Group, spoke at NJICLE’s Understanding Special Needs Trusts webinar. This program featured an experienced panel of New Jersey experts to provide best practices to effectively represent special needs clients. Shirley presented “What’s a lawyer to do when a client or interested party has diminished capacity?” and discussed topics including informed consent, settlement requisites, counsel for incapacitated persons in guardianship cases, and more.
