Erica Speier Berman focuses her practice on complex litigation, representing corporations, private businesses and individuals in commercial disputes. Erica also has experience with insurance defense, professional liability and malpractice matters, and employment litigation. Her trial experience includes complex matters of various types in both federal and state courts.
Prior to joining Schenck Price, Erica worked at a large law firm in New York City where she represented insurance brokers, financial institutions and other corporate clients. She regularly counseled clients with respect to contract and securities claims, internal investigations, government investigations and litigation avoidance. Erica also spent time at a virtual law firm in New Jersey, where she regularly appeared in court to argue motions on behalf of her clients.
Erica’s pro bono work has included representing low-income individuals in eviction proceedings and other housing disputes, assisting low-income women with family court issues and representing an asylum seeker with a complex immigration issue.
