Providers of services to the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) community face a host of potential legal issues on a day-to-day basis. Many of these issues are unique to IDD providers and can result in lawsuits sounding in simple negligence up to and including cases for wrongful death. Peter Marra, Deborah Cmielewski, and Benjamin Hooper presented at an NJACP Lunch and Learn on April 17, 2019, discussing some of the potential claims and hot litigation issues facing IDD providers today.
