  • ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR

     

    Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP is seeking a full-time Accounting Coordinator to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience.

     

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Preparation of invoices
    • Knowledge of electronic billing systems
    • Entering Accounts Payable, cutting daily checks, and reimbursements
    • Processing trust account receipts and disbursements
    • Applying cash receipts
    • Collaborating with attorneys and staff
    • Setting up new client/matters
    • Accurately running conflict checks
    • Other diversified accounting tasks as directed

    Requirements:

    • At least two (2) years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm environment
    • College degree in Accounting a plus

    INSURANCE DEFENSE LITIGATION PARALEGAL


    Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP is seeking a paralegal with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to support the insurance defense litigation group in its Paramus, New Jersey office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Opening of files

    • Drafting initial correspondence to adjusters

    • Drafting pleadings

    • Drafting discovery demands

    • Drafting responses to discovery

    • Working with legal assistant to monitor discovery and file necessary motions

    • Preparing and serving HIPAA forms and calendaring for follow-up

    • Arranging independent medical examinations

    • Reviewing, organizing and forwarding medical records for examining physicians

    • Maintaining insurance company guidelines in data management systems

    • Communicating on behalf of attorneys to obtain information and following-up on assignments

    • Maintaining digital filing


    Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Detail oriented and organized

    • Excellent writing and proofreading skills

    • Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines

    • Ability to work independently and as a team


    Requirements:


    • 3 years’ experience

    • Paralegal certification or related relevant job experience

    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree a plus
