    What You Will Do:
    • Represent New Jersey public school districts in matters involving labor and employment, and general education law.
    • Engage in advocacy, negotiation, and problem solving on behalf of school clients and key stakeholders.
    • Draft legal memoranda, position statements, legal opinions, board policies, discovery and other essential documents supporting district operations and governance.
    • Attend Board of Education meetings.
    • Attend Administrative trials/labor arbitrations
    Qualifications:

    • Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills
    • Experience representing New Jersey public school districts and public sector employment/labor law knowledge, strongly preferred

    Litigation Associate – Professional Liability and Complex Commercial
    Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP is seeking an associate for our Litigation Department with 5 - 7 years’ experience in professional liability or complex commercial cases.
    Responsibilities include:
    • Manage a diverse caseload of professional liability and complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
    • Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions
    • Conduct and defend depositions, including expert depositions
    • Prepare pleadings, discovery, and trial materials
    • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
    • Collaborate closely with partners and clients to develop litigation strategy
    • Provide clear, timely client communication and case analysis
    • Mentor junior attorneys and support team development, as appropriate
    Qualifications:
    • 5–7 years of relevant litigation experience, with demonstrated exposure to professional liability and/or complex commercial matters
    • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills
    • Significant experience in all aspects of trial advocacy (including depositions, motions, and orders to show cause)
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and case-management abilities
    • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment

    • First-chair deposition or courtroom experience

    This position requires a minimum of 3-7 years’ experience in healthcare law, with a proven track record in handling a wide range of industry-specific legal matters.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide counsel on fraud and abuse, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

    • Serve as lead attorney on health care mergers and acquisitions, including drafting and negotiation of transaction documents.

    • Manage reimbursement matters, including billing audit and reimbursement dispute work.

    • Examine and negotiate managed care contracts.

    • Address medical staff issues, providing guidance and support, as needed.

    • Navigate state and federal regulatory matters for healthcare providers, including professional licensing board matters and compliance investigations.

    Qualifications:
