Eric Bueide is Counsel in Schenck Price’s School Law Practice Group. Eric focuses his legal practice in the field of education, where he advises school boards on compliance with State and Federal anti-discrimination laws, special education, OPRA/OPMA and more.
Prior to joining Schenck Price, Eric worked for 15 years at the United States Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. At OCR, Eric provided assistance on Federal education law to K-12 school boards and higher education institutions, and also led civil rights investigations of complaints alleging discrimination in schools on the bases of race, color, national origin, sex, disability and age. In addition, Eric previously provided counsel to school boards throughout New Jersey as an associate attorney with law firms in Middlesex and Morris Counties. Eric draws upon his school law experience and his extensive public service to provide school board clients with thoughtful, comprehensive legal advice.
Outside of his legal practice, Eric has served as a board member for a private cooperative preschool and a charitable organization that delivers grants to support higher education, health care and the arts.
