Steven H. Daniels is a member of its Insurance Defense Practice Group. He handles motor vehicle liability, premises liability, construction law, public entity, charitable entity, and non-profit entity defense. Further, Mr. Daniels has an active trial docket and tries numerous matters in court to conclusion.
Mr. Daniels represents a number of public and private entities and individuals. In addition, he manages substantial matters for such representative clients as Philadelphia Insurance Companies (a member of the Tokio Marine Group), New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Group, The Travelers Companies, State Farm Insurance Company, and the State of New Jersey and Counties in tort and false arrest/malicious prosecution matters.
Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, Mr. Daniels is also a court-appointed Civil and Personal Injury Arbitrator in several northern New Jersey Superior Court Counties and a court-appointed guardian in incapacity matters before the New Jersey Superior Court.
Among his professional, business and civic affiliations, he is actively involved in the Essex County Bar Association’s Insurance Law Committee, and previously chaired both their Litigation Committee and Young Lawyers Committee. He is a former trustee and member of its President’s Council. In addition, Mr. Daniels is a member of the Board of Directors for the Community Action for Independent Living, Inc., and a representative for the Essex County Democratic Party (Livingston, New Jersey). He is a former member of the New Jersey Supreme Court District V-B Ethics Committee, Essex County and the Arthur T. Vanderbilt Inn of Court.
Early in his career, Mr. Daniels was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jared Honigfeld, J.S.C. New Jersey Superior Court (1988-1989).
