Shawn T. Powers

Shawn T. Powers is an associate in Schenck Price’s Construction Law and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups. Shawn’s practice integrates all aspects of construction law, corporate and business law, as well as general commercial litigation and insurance defense. Tapping into his foundational experience working commercial construction with his father, combined with his time representing clients in transactional and litigation matters, Shawn brings a unique and pragmatic perspective to his practice of law. Shawn has represented developers, contractors, transportation companies, commercial landlords, small business owners, and individuals in a wide array of corporate, transactional, and business litigation matters.

Prior to law school, Shawn was a paralegal for a real estate law firm in South Florida where he developed firsthand in-depth practical legal knowledge. During law school, Shawn was selected to the Moot Court Society, named to the Dean’s List, and was actively involved in the Business Law and Christian Legal societies. Throughout law school Shawn clerked at two prominent Florida law firms (including an AM LAW 200 firm) gaining valuable experience working with nationally recognized attorneys. In his final semester, Shawn further honed his legal skills at a boutique Morristown business litigation law firm. He became associated with the firm after completing law school.
