Schenck Price Wins Injunction and $11M Judgment in Trade Secrets Lawsuit Against Client's Competitor in Solar Energy Industry

A Schenck Price litigation team of Michael Marotte, Eric Inglis, Thomas Cotton, and Raajen Bhaskar employed a variety of aggressive litigation tactics to secure a ruling enjoining a client’s competitor from breaching the client’s cybersecurity infrastructure to steal sales leads.  That injunction, achieved on behalf of a client in the ultra-competitive solar energy industry, was based in part upon New Jersey’s relatively new Trade Secrets Act and was entered within days of the breach being detected.  The Schenck Price team followed up on its initial success by securing a judgment of $11,000,000 in favor of the client in a little more than one year after filing suit.
