Maddaloni Joins Labor & Employment Law Practice

Joseph Maddaloni joined the firm as partner and will co-chair the 12-attorney Labor and Employment Law practice group with Partner Cynthia L. Flanagan.

Schenck Price Smith & King has experience in all aspects of labor and employment law, such that it can advise clients before problems arise and, when they do occur, provide experienced representation, regardless of the venue.

Maddaloni joins a well-established practice, which he will enhance in two key ways.  As a seasoned traditional labor lawyer, Maddaloni brings to the firm years of experience in counseling and representing clients on traditional labor matters, including union avoidance techniques, organizing campaign strategy, contract negotiation and administration, and resolving unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board.

Maddaloni is also an accomplished employment lawyer who represents management in general employment litigation & counseling matters concerning discharge, discrimination and harassment, non-compete and restrictive covenants, wage and hour, severance and separation agreements, disciplinary actions, and the development of policies and procedures.   Together, he and Co-Chair Cynthia L. Flanagan provide the practice group with a dynamic and talented leadership team.  Flanagan represents corporations, government entities and individuals in various matters involving employment law.  She also acts as outside counsel to her corporate and government clients and renders advice and legal opinions on issues involving sexual harassment, discrimination, civil rights violations and compliance with employment policies.

Maddaloni also has a national practice providing counseling and representation to home care companies and private duty agencies across the country. He is a leading regulatory authority on the home care industry, and he lectures and writes extensively on issues important to the industry.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Home Care Council of New Jersey, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Home Health Services Association of New Jersey.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Home Care Accreditation, and he formerly served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Home Care Association of New Jersey.
