Julie E. Gendel has experience defending physicians, practice groups, nurses, nurse practitioners, chiropractors, and hospitals in all phases of litigation. She focuses her practice on insurance defense and professional liability litigation. Ms. Gendel also has experience with appellate practice, ERISA litigation, and professional licensing issues.
Ms. Gendel earned her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law where she graduated with a concentration in Health Law in 2009, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. She was also the Timothy G. Rothwell Health Law Scholar. While in law school, Ms. Gendel served as a Senior Editor of the Seton Hall Law Review and Editor of the Health Law Outlook. She also served as an intern at the State Attorney General’s office in the Professional Boards section. She participated in the Center for Social Justice Impact Litigation Clinic, briefing and arguing a matter before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Gendel graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.
Following law school, Ms. Gendel clerked for the Honorable Dorothea O’C. Wefing of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.
Ms. Gendel is admitted in New Jersey and the District of New Jersey.
