New Jersey School Boards Association 2018 Workshop

Matthew Donohue will be a participant in the “Courts, Cases and Controversies” program at the New Jersey School Boards Association 2018 Workshop. The “setting” is a mock board of education executive session where attorneys, in the role of “board members,” introduce topics that are further presented in the legal clinics that follow. The session also includes an interactive audience participation session where audience members are invited to bring their questions to the expert panel members for a discussion of school law issues.

Specifically, Mr. Donohue will present on the recent “Stop Passing the Trash” law, which requires all school districts, charter and private schools, and contracted service providers to obtain certain documentation and information regarding child abuse/sexual misconduct from all applicants seeking a position that involves regular contact with students.
