Morris County SHRM Fall Legal Breakfast: Employment Law Issues for Small Businesses

Over the past few years, the Federal Government and New Jersey have broadened employee protections and increased scrutiny on employers – including small businesses that often were overlooked for bigger targets.  Small businesses may be unknowingly violating employment laws based on an assumption that the laws only apply to large employers or that compliance is just too difficult and costly.  Small businesses face unique employment issues that affect day-to-day business operations.
