Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP has extensive experience handling insurance coverage disputes, and its broad insurance coverage practice includes representation of insurance carriers, agents and policyholders, giving SPSK a unique perspective and insight into complex coverage issues.

For its insurance carrier clients, SPSK provides coverage opinions on a wide range of issues and frequently litigates those issues through trial and appeal. SPSK’s numerous insurance company clients include The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, Royal and SunAlliance, Employers Reinsurance Corporation, Pennsylvania Lumbermen’s Mutual Insurance Company, Franklin Mutual Insurance Company, Farmers Mutual Insurance Company, Greater New York Mutual Insurance Company, Lexington Insurance Company, Fidelity Mohawk Insurance Company, Travelers Insurance Company, and Regional Insurance Markets. SPSK also maintains an active and successful subrogation practice and has secured substantial recoveries on behalf of our insurance carrier clients. For first-party losses, SPSK provides assistance and conducts examinations under oath as part of the investigation and claims handling process.

SPSK’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group has also assisted policyholders and claimants in evaluating and securing insurance coverage for first-party or third-party losses. Our experience also includes coverage litigation concerning surety bonds. SPSK has successfully litigated coverage issues for policyholders in a wide range of cases, from multi-million dollar claims to claims of a more modest size, and zealously represents its clients in all coverage claims. SPSK frequently assists corporate clients in executing indemnification and defense agreements with their insurance companies.

SPSK has represented clients in a wide range of coverage disputes, including matters related to construction, environmental liability, toxic tort, employment practices, product liability, recall insurance, professional liability, directors and officers liability, general liability, errors and omissions, asbestos and fire and other first-party loss. We are experienced in litigating the applicability, interpretation and enforceability of important and controversial insurance policy provisions and exclusions. We have successfully represented clients in policy rescission and reformation litigation.
