Sandra Calvert Nathans
Sandra Calvert Nathans is an associate with Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. Ms. Nathans focuses her practice in the areas of insurance coverage and environmental litigation. Prior to joining Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP, she was associated with an insurance defense firm concentrating her practice in the areas of insurance coverage and environmental litigation.
Ms. Nathans is admitted to the New Jersey and Rhode Island Bars and is a member of the American Bar Association. She serves on the Juvenile Conference Committee in her home town of North Caldwell, NJ and sits on the Board of the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation.
Ms. Nathans completed her undergraduate studies at University of Connecticut in 1984 receiving two Bachelor of Arts degrees in French and Political Science. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1988. She was admitted to the Rhode Island Bar in 1988 and to the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island in 1989. She served as Legal Counsel for the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management providing counsel to a variety of divisions within the Department. She concentrated her practice in the areas of water quality and environmental policy, including freshwater wetlands, individual sewerage disposal systems and water quality.
