Peter A. Marra
Peter A. Marra is a partner with Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP with a practice focused primarily in litigation. He is a member of the Health Care Practice Group and Fiduciary Litigation Group. Mr. Marra is also a member of the Health and Hospital Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and represents hospitals, healthcare entities, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Mr. Marra also handles complex Estate and Fiduciary Litigation and matters involving product defects and professional liability. A successful trial attorney, Mr. Marra also handles appellate matters and acts a mediator. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee.
Mr. Marra is councilman on the Township of Clinton Council. From 2001 to 2007, Mr. Marra served as a member of the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District Board of Education. He was President of the Board of Education for two years and served as chair of various committees. Mr. Marra also served as Trustee for the Clinton Township Foundation for Educational Excellence. For approximately ten years, Mr. Marra served as a volunteer for Camp Fatima of New Jersey, New Jersey’s only all volunteer camp for physically and mentally handicapped children, and also served on the Board of Directors. Mr. Marra also served as an assistant to State Senator Robert J. Martin and has volunteered for both state and federal political campaigns.
Mr. Marra is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Hunterdon County Bar Association. He has given seminars and lectures on various legal topics and authored articles for legal publications. He is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Seton Hall University, Mr. Marra graduated magna cum laude in 1997 from the Seton Hall University School of Law. After law school, he completed a judicial clerkship for the Honorable James J. Petrella, Presiding Judge for the Appellate Division. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Maryanne Trump Barry, United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey. Prior to be becoming an attorney, Mr. Marra managed a restaurant and worked as a financial reviewer for Prudential Insurance Company of America. He was also the Director of the Youth Ministry program at St. Rose of Lima church. Mr. Marra was recognized in 2009 by New Jersey Monthly magazine as one of New Jersey’s “Rising Star, Super Lawyers”.
