James A. Kassis
James A. Kassis is a partner with Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and Construction Law Practice Group. His practice includes business and commercial litigation, construction litigation, and insurance coverage & insurance defense litigation.
He joined the firm in 2001, after serving a year-long judicial clerkship with the Honorable Howard H. Kestin of the Superior Court, Appellate Division. Mr. Kassis is admitted to practice law before the New Jersey and New York bars as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Kassis earned his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2000. As a member of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal, Mr. Kassis authored an article on the efficacy of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. Prior to attending law school, he interned for the Somerset County Defender’s Office and served as a paralegal with the New York law firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP. Mr. Kassis earned a B.A. degree from Rutgers College in 1993. Mr. Kassis was recognized in 2009 by New Jersey Monthly magazine as one of New Jersey’s “Rising Star, Super Lawyers” for General Litigation.
