Thomas L Hofstetter
Thomas L Hofstetter is a partner with Schenck, Price Smith & King’s Business and Real Estate Department. Mr. Hofstetter is also the chairperson of the firm’s Banking Practice Group. Mr. Hofstetter practices primarily as a transactional corporate attorney representing institutional lenders, entities and individuals in commercial and loan transactions, as well as loan restructures. He has substantial experience in counseling financial institutions and borrowers in all aspects of government guaranteed loans with emphasis on U.S. Small Business Administration finance transactions including the structuring of institutional loans, compliance with SBA regulations and conducting loan closings. Mr. Hofstetter also has experience in land use and leasing matters.
Mr. Hofstetter has counseled and lectured on numerous topics of interest to lenders and business establishments. He is active in the National Association of Government Lenders (NAGGL) where he serves on the Technical Committee and is the Chair of the Regional Liaison Committee. He is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar and the American Bar Associations. Mr. Hofstetter is the President of the Normandy Beach Improvement Association. Mr. Hofstetter also serves as Chairman for the Georgetown University Alumni Admissions Program for Central New Jersey.
Mr. Hofstetter has a varied legal career commencing as a staff attorney for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and serving as an associate at a major New Jersey law firm, Section Chief for the Federal Deposit Insurance Company and general counsel to a community bank. Prior to joining Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP in 2002, Mr. Hofstetter was a partner with a well known New Jersey law firm concentrating his practice in the areas of corporate transactions and lending.
