Meredith L. Grocott
Meredith L. Grocott is a partner with Schenck, Price, Smith & King’s Litigation Department. She has a varied practice including medical malpractice defense, health care risk management, insurance defense, and commercial litigation. Ms. Grocott devotes a substantial part of her practice to trust and estate litigation, guardianship litigation, and other elder and disability law matters.
Ms. Grocott is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Elder Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Probate Committee of the Morris County Bar Association, for which she serves as the co-chair of the Settlement Program. She has lectured on such areas as guardianships, informed consent, and other medical malpractice issues.
She joined Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP in 1996, after serving a year-long judicial clerkship with the Honorable Victor Ashrafi of the Superior Court of New Jersey. She began her association with the firm as a law clerk during the summer of 1994.
Ms. Grocott earned her undergraduate business degree from the College of William and Mary, graduating cum laude in 1992. She then received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1995 graduating magna cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Grocott was an editor of the Annual Review of Banking Law.
