James E. Davidson
James E. Davidson is a partner of Schenck, Price, Smith & King’s Tax, Trust and Estate Department. He practices primarily in the areas of estate and tax planning and estate administration. He also has extensive experience in corporate, municipal government and zoning law. Mr. Davidson began his legal career at the Newark firm of Stryker, Tams & Dill. Prior to its merger with Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP in 1987, he was a founder and partner with the Morristown firm of Farrell, Curtis & Davidson.
Mr. Davidson is a member of the Morris County, New Jersey State and American Bar Associations. He has served as a Trustee of the Morris County Bar Association and the Urban League, was President of the Mendham Golf & Tennis Club and has been active in community, church and youth service in his hometown of Mendham.
After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University in 1956, Mr. Davidson spent three years in the United States Air Force. He then entered Columbia University Law School and was graduated in 1962 and thereafter earned a Masters of Law in taxation from New York University School of Law in 1970.
