Steven H. Daniels is a senior attorney with Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department . He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. His practice is focused in the areas of motor vehicle, premises and professional, construction, and products liability. Mr. Daniels has significant experience as a trial lawyer, including many insurance defense matters. He is a regular participant in the personal injury and automobile arbitration programs in several northern New Jersey Superior Courts and the U.S. District Court for New Jersey and currently serves as co-chair of the Essex County Bar Association's Insurance Law Committee. Mr. Daniels has also served as a court-appointed guardian in incapacity matters before the New Jersey Superior Court.

Mr. Daniels regularly shares his knowledge, lecturing and teaching political science, legal reasoning and constitutional law at Monmouth University and business mathematics at Passaic County Community College. He continues to participate in seminars involving litigation, insurance, personal injury, arbitration, and mediation.

Active in the community, Mr. Daniels is a long standing member of the Community Action for Independent Living, Inc. Board of Directors. He is also an Essex County Democratic Party elected district representative for Livingston. Mr. Daniels also served on the New Jersey Supreme Court District V-B Ethics Committee for Essex County. A dedicated member of the Essex County Bar Association, he is the former chair of the Litigation Committee and Young Lawyers Section, as well as a former trustee and member of the President’s Council. The Essex County Bar Association recognized Mr. Daniels in 1992 when he received the Young Lawyers Achievement Award. Mr. Daniels is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Essex County Bar Association. Formerly, he was a member of the Arthur T. Vanderbilt Inn of Court.

After receiving his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 1985, Mr. Daniels obtained his law degree from Antioch University School of Law and thereafter completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Jared Honigfeld.
