Frank M. Coscia is a partner in Schenck, Price, Smith & King’s Litigation and Business Law Departments with expertise in insurance defense, corporate and commercial litigation. Mr. Coscia’s experience includes defending clients in the areas of personal injury, commercial and personal automobile liability, product and premises liability, toxic torts, construction defects and accidents, insurance policy interpretations and fraud. In addition, Mr. Coscia has represented litigants in shareholder disputes, will contests, contract claims, and various other chancery matters. This experience has led to Mr. Coscia’s court appointment as an Arbitrator and Mediator in many automobile, personal injury and contract matters. Fluent in Italian, Mr. Coscia frequently works with both domestic and foreign individuals and businesses seeking representation in the United States.

Mr. Coscia has been licensed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Banking and Insurance, as a Property, Casualty, Life and Health Producer since 1982. This background offers Mr. Coscia considerable insight and expertise in representing insurance carriers, third-party administrators, producers and other licensees in a wide array of insurance defense, coverage and regulatory issues.

Since 2000, Mr. Coscia has served on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Automobile Insurance Risk Exchange. In 2005, Governor Richard J. Codey reappointed Mr. Coscia to a five-year term on the Board. Mr. Coscia chairs the Board’s Finance & Investments Committee. Mr. Coscia is a past chair and current Executive Committee member of the Insurance Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), as well as a member of the Health & Hospital Law Section of the NJSBA. A native of Paterson, Mr. Coscia is a member of the Passaic County Bar Association where he has served as the long-time chair of the Insurance Committee. Also, Mr. Coscia is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association where he has served as a member of the Judicial Selection Committee. Mr. Coscia has also served on the North Haledon Planning Board since 1993.

A 1982 graduate of Seton Hall University (B.A. magna cum laude), Mr. Coscia received his law degree from the Seton Hall University School of Law in 1985. After completing law school, Mr. Coscia served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Arthur L. Troast of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Bergen County.
